Andrea's 2nd Birthday
I enjoyed doing this cake for Andrea because I got to do her first birthday cake last year. Maria, Andrea's Mom, always brings me pictures of a couple of different cakes and wants elements from each onto one cake. The top tier was White cake with Pistachio filling and the bottom was Chocolate with Peanut butter cream cheese filling.

Mariah and Edgars wedding
This was another wedding cake for Hacienda Country Club. The bride and groom wanted 3 different cakes and wanted their guests to have the feel of walking into a bakery. So the cake on the left in back was covered in ivory fondant with white stripes. The back right cake was covered with chocolate curls. The front cake was covered with ivory fondant with a white lace sugar wrap. The lace was dusted with pearl dust. All edible.
The flowers were fresh put on by the florist.
Two other sheet cakes were made for the cutting.

Bottle of wine for Deb's birthday
My 3 best friends and I spent a wonderful day together as a surprise for one of the girls, Debbie. We took her to see "Eat, Pray, Love", then cooked a delicious Italian meal. Chicken Marsala, Pasta Salad, Spaghetti and a bottle of "Eat, Pray, Love" wine. Then swimming. This is the surprise cake I made for Deb. The "crate" is Chocolate with Hazelnut filling and the "bottle" is red velvet. This was one of those very special days that we don't get to do often enough. Lots of laughs, good food, great friends, and a little wine to blend it all together.

Antelma's wedding cake
This is a wedding cake I did for a co-worker. All 5 tiers are white cake. I did different fillings...Bavarian cream, chocolate mousse, lemon and strawberry.
The cake is all buttercream. It was incredibly hot out today during delivery, so I was happy it wasn't fondant or I worry it would have drooped.

Crystal's 18th birthday
The cake that I donated to an auction to raise money for Children's Miracle Network was won by a co-worker named Jeannie. She chose the colors and flavor of cake (strawberry) and had me deliver it to her niece who turned 18. They were very surprised as they only knew that something was being delivered but did not know what it was. They loved it. And it was a joy for me to surprise this family with a cake.
Happy Birthday Crystal!

Happy Graduation Lexi!
This was for my friends daughter, Lexi, who graduated from La Habra High. And soon she'll be off to UC Riverside to enjoy the college life. It was a lot of fun doing this cake. The sunflowers are made from gumpaste and everything else is fondant. The cap is the only thing that is not edible. The bottom book is chocolate and the top book is yellow cake.
Congratulations Lexi!

Cupcakes and Lace Booties
Chocolate on Chocolate, White on white cupcakes. These were for my son's-girlfriends-sister's-baby..did you follow that?
They were for her Christening. She wanted lavender flowers in different shades/sizes. So I made them out of fondant along with the leaves.
The baby booties were made out of gumpaste. I cut pieces of lace (edible lace that I made!) and overlayed it on the pieces before I made the shoes. I loved how they turned out.

"St. Jude by the Seashore"
This is the cake I made to donate to St.Jude hospital's Cancer Survivor celebration. The theme this year was "St.Jude by the seashore". The sandals are marble cake with almond filling and icing. The pail is chocolate cake with almond filling/icing. The towel and glasses are fondant. The sand castle in the back is made out of chocolate. I asked some of my past and present students if they would like to donate cakes to be raffled off to the cancer patients. We had a total of 8 cakes. Thank you Meesha, Chandler, Samantha, Paula, Arely & Janet, Sandy and Jonel for your beautifully decorated cakes. A special "thank you" to Jonel, her husband Eric (whom I work with at Sam's club) and their son, Brandon, for sticking around and volunteering at the event.
It was a lot of fun. The survivors LOVED their cakes that they won. I donated cakes last year but was not able to go to the event. This year I volunteered and I have to give a HUGE pat on the back to Executive Chef Will Gotay, my friend and head chef at St.Jude hospital, for putting on this wonderful event, complete with live music, games, face painting, and lots of delicious food and drinks. This is one of those events that I want to be a part of every year!

Jamie and Dan's Baby Shower
This cake was for my daughters baby shower. Her theme was jungle animals. The tree was made out of modeling chocolate and I made all of the animals out of gumpaste. There was a Lion, Zebra, monkey(holding a baby bottle), a cow (with a pacifier in his mouth), 2 giraffes, a little snake and an elephant. The bottom tier was White/strawberry filling, the middle tier was chocolate/ chocolate mousse filling and the top was Lemon/raspberry filling. My daughter loved it! And that is all I needed.

Lori and Jay's Big Celebration!
This cake was for multiple celebrations. The couple recently married, they are moving away, Lori is retiring and Lori turned 50. I didn't get photos of all sides, but on the top tier of the cake, I included photos of their two dogs, and on the bottom tier, I included "Adios Orange County" (with a photo of tinkerbell), "Bye Bye California Beach's", "So long California" (with the outline of the Cali. state), a logo from their favorite restaurant and a couple of other things that they will miss here in California.
I wish them the best of luck.

Easter Chocolate Wrapped
I really enjoy making these chocolate wrapped cakes. The cake is iced orange (not flavored orange), and wrapped with a white chocolate swirl design. I used different colored buttercream to make the rosettes, then sprinked the top with flower shaped candies.
The cake is double chocolate with hazelnut filling.
